Good balance of skills, intelligence and creativity.
Creativity and Intelligence are very important in our life. Business and life success can be associated to one’s creativity and intelligence, so it will be very beneficial to develop this skill in the early stage of life. Make sure your children have a good balance of skills, intelligence and creativity.
Dr. Howard Gardner, professor of education at Harvard University, developed the concept of multiple intelligences, which comprise of Linguistic intelligence (”word smart”), Logical-mathematical intelligence (”number/reasoning smart”), Spatial intelligence (”picture smart”), Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence (”body smart”), Musical intelligence (”music smart”), Interpersonal intelligence (”people smart”), Intrapersonal intelligence (”self smart”) and Naturalist intelligence (”nature smart”). He advocates that parents and teachers need to be trained to present their lessons in a wide variety of ways using music, cooperative learning, art activities, role play, multimedia, field trips, inner reflection, and much more.
In addition to acquiring balanced intelligence, would you like your children to be creative individuals? Learning creativity in early age will help them in their adult life, especially if they are professionals who work in the industry of business, economics, science, engineering, industrial and graphic design, and the arts. As parents, you can teach your child how to be creative. You need to create conducive atmosphere that encourage creative activities and thoughts. Have a variety of artistic and creative materials accessible to your child: clay, play dough, music, books, blocks, legos, creative toys and other arts and crafts for kids.

Creativity training should be something fun to do. You can incorporate role playing and storytelling in everyday activities. Give your child a gift that will lure their imagination to work like craft supplies, arts supplies, crayons, legos, paint, clay, pens, children toys, educational supplies or any creativity tools. Sometimes children tend to make a mess and write everywhere. Give them an opportunity for free self-expression, without negative or demeaning judgment. Don’t push them into anything they don’t want to do, but encourage them to learn other skills. Guide them where they should draw, teach them to clean the mess, or designate a place to make a clutter but never tell them to stop. Let their wild imagination come out and unleash creativity and innovation. Encourage them to evaluate their problems, review a variety of options to solve the problem, and figure out which option is the best to execute. Praise your child, acknowledge their good work, reward their wonderful creations and keep their self esteem high. Display their most wonderful creations, show them to friends and relatives and let them be proud of their achievements. Host a game or join RoseArt contest, and let them be competitive and liven up their creative imagination to win a game. With RoseArt contest, your child can create and submit their dream classroom for a chance to win loads of RoseArt school supplies.
